Dr. Shuang Liu

Dr. (Susan) Shuang Liu, APAGS Secretary-General 

Dr. Shuang Liu’s research focuses on behavioral finance and decision-making in naturalistic environments. She has explored certain behavioral biases of horserace bettors in the United Kingdom and Hong Kong horserace betting markets and has published in the Journal of Behavioral Decision Making and Journal of Gambling Business and Economics. In her recent publications, Dr. Liu investigated the Hong Kong and Macao horserace betting markets and introduced innovative ideas on the development of the Macao market. Dr. Liu has also explored the development of the gaming and tourism industry in Macao. She has worked with Professor Zhonglu Zeng, performing research on the travel behavior of Hong Kong visitors in Macao and the comparison of behavior between gambling and non-gambling visitors.
